University of Tikrit – College of Dentistry Holds an Awareness Seminar on the Importance of Early Detection of Breast Cancer

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waad Mahmood Raouf, President of the University of Tikrit,
and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Raheel Ali, Dean of the College of Dentistry, and Assistant Professor Dr. Sayyaf Abd Hussein, Director of the Center for Continuing Education,
the Center for Continuing Education, in cooperation with the College of Dentistry, organized an educational seminar entitled
“The Importance of Early Detection of Breast Cancer” on Thursday, October 30, 2025.

The seminar included a lecture delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Raad Abdulrahman Hamid Al-Manea, who discussed the importance of awareness regarding early detection of breast cancer and the role of mammography in the early diagnosis of the disease. He highlighted how timely detection significantly increases recovery rates and reduces complications.

The event aimed to raise public health awareness and encourage women to undergo regular screening for the early detection of breast cancer, reflecting the University of Tikrit’s commitment to promoting a culture of prevention and enhancing health responsibility among members of the community.

College of Dentistry at the University of Tikrit Holds Educational Seminar on Piezoelectric Surgery

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Waad Mahmood Raouf, President of the University of Tikrit, and under the supervision of both Assistant Prof. Dr. Mohammed Raheel Ali, Dean of the College of Dentistry, and Assistant Prof. Dr. Seyyaf Abdul Hussein, Director of the Center for Continuing Education, the Center for Continuing Education, in cooperation with the College of Dentistry, held an educational seminar titled “Piezoelectric Surgery” on Sunday, 5 October 2025, at 10:30 a.m.

The seminar was delivered by Dr. Mohammed Farouq and addressed the latest techniques used in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with a focus on piezoelectric surgery, which is considered one of the most precise and modern methods in dentistry due to the safety and efficiency it provides during surgical procedures.

The seminar aimed to keep pace with contemporary developments in dentistry in general, and oral and maxillofacial surgery in particular, through presenting and discussing the most advanced devices and technologies in this field.

College of Dentistry at Tikrit University Organizes Educational Seminar Entitled “Surgical Assisted Rapid Palatal Expansion”

 

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, President of Tikrit University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Raheel Ali, Dean of the College of Dentistry, and Assistant Professor Dr. Sayyaf Abdul Hussein, Director of the Continuing Education Center, the Continuing Education Center, in cooperation with the College of Dentistry, organized an educational seminar entitled “Surgical Assisted Rapid Palatal Expansion.”

The event took place on Monday, September 29, 2025, in Lecture Hall No. (1) at the College of Dentistry – Tikrit University.

The seminar was delivered by dentist Ibrahim Ali, who presented a scientific lecture addressing the latest developments and techniques related to Surgically Assisted Rapid Palatal Expansion (SARPE), with a focus on its practical and clinical applications in the field of dentistry.

The seminar aimed to:

  1. Strengthen the practical component of dental education.
  2. Keep pace with advancements in the field of dentistry.

The event witnessed the participation of several faculty members and specialists, fostering enriching scientific discussions that contributed to enhancing the attendees’ knowledge and exposure to modern expertise.

College of Dentistry at Tikrit University Organizes Training Course Entitled “Google Services in Education”

 

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, President of Tikrit University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Raheel Ali, Dean of the College of Dentistry, and Assistant Professor Dr. Sayyaf Abdul Hussein, Director of the Continuing Education Center, the Continuing Education Center, in cooperation with the College of Dentistry, organized a training course entitled “Google Services in Education.”

The course was held over two days, Monday and Tuesday, September 29–30, 2025, in Lecture Hall No. (1) at the College of Dentistry – Tikrit University.

The course was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Shaimaa Issa Ahmed, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, along with a group of faculty members, staff, and students.

The sessions were delivered by Lecturer Dr. Tamara Afif Majeed, Assistant Lecturer Shams Al-Din Saad Mohsen, and Assistant Lecturer Hiba Hani Rahim, who introduced the most important services and applications provided by Google in the field of e-learning, and explained mechanisms for employing them to support the educational process and enhance the skills of students and faculty members.

This course comes as part of a series of training programs through which the Continuing Education Center and the College of Dentistry seek to strengthen the capabilities of academic and administrative staff, and to keep pace with modern technological advancements in a way that contributes to improving the quality of university education.

College of Dentistry Holds Seminar Entitled “Monitoring and Activating the Iraqi National Security Strategy”

 

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, President of Tikrit University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Raheel Ali, Dean of the College of Dentistry, the College of Dentistry, in cooperation with the College of Veterinary Medicine, organized today a scientific seminar entitled:
“Monitoring and Activating the Iraqi National Security Strategy.”

The seminar was delivered by Professor Dr. Dhafer Madhih Faisal from the College of Law – Tikrit University, in the presence of Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Shaimaa Issa Ahmed, Assistant Dean Assistant Professor Dr. Ghazwan Mahdi Saleh, along with a group of faculty members, staff, and students.

The seminar highlighted the key pillars of the Iraqi National Security Strategy, its mechanisms of implementation and follow-up, while emphasizing the pioneering role of universities in reinforcing intellectual and societal security, and promoting awareness among students to confront current challenges.

The session witnessed fruitful discussions and interventions that enriched the presented topics, as participants offered constructive proposals contributing to national efforts aimed at achieving stability and development.
